OPLAN BALIK ESKUWELA: DepEd Hosts Brigada Eskuwela 2017

In line with the depEd Memorandum no. 43, s. 2017 known as the implementation of
Brigada Eskwela or the National Schools Maintenance Week with the theme “Isang DepEd ,
Isang Pamayanan Para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan” last May 15 -20, 2017.
The said activity started with a kick-off ceremony held at Ligao National High School to
formally open the weeklong Brigada. It’s started with a caravan of all the schools in Ligao
City Divisions, Local Govermnet Unit of Ligao including all the volunteers from the Philippine
National Police, health sector and other private agencies. Then followed by an opening
program hosted by the LNHS teachers.
To glass case our support, the staff of Tupas Elementary School held a simple school
based opening program simultaneously done with the launching of Brigada Eskwela at the
school ground. Several groups of volunteers including the parents were present and
acknowledged the program. Likewise, short orientation about the mechanics of the six-day
activity was given by the coordinator, where he reiterated the purposive conduct of activity,
its goals and expectations. The Brigada Eskwela has finally been opened. The willingness,
ready and able brigade included fervent teachers, passionate parents, excited pupils, and
other member of the community. There are different kinds of assistance from the skilled
carpenters, brgy. Officials, and PTA Officials were extended to assist in simple reconstructing
and repairing of some school facilities including fencing and repairing dilapidated chairs,
Cleaning of the school surroundings including the classrooms and rehabilitation of the
plants were assigned to some parents who found true enjoyment in doing their duties,
trimming of trees around the school, fixing of garbage disposal and renovating broken
classroom ceilings.
Aside from donating foods, tools and materials, all the members of the force worked tirelessly
for everyday activities in one week. They did it all with a desirable spirit of amity and sincere
participation.
Through the effort showed by the community, the internal and external stakeholders,
as well as the volunteers from the alumni, this activity will surely benefit not just the school
community but also the community that our school envisions to shape. Your help will surely
make a difference and will be appreciated.
TES KABS SCOUT PARTAKES INVESTITURE CEREMONY

In accordance with the District Memorandum No. 8 series of 2016, Ligao South
District 1 and 2 conducted the Kab/Boy Scout Investiture Ceremony at Tandarura
Elementary School, Tandarura, Ligao City last September 21, 2016. The activity aims to
introduce the participantswith the history and ideals of scouting, contribute to the
promotion of scouting movements and appreciate the value of scouting in everyday life.
The participants to this activity are the Grade 1 pupils (Young USA), young boy
scouts and those pupils who have not undergone to the said activity together with the
Kab/Boy Scouts Coordinators (Adult Leaders) and School Heads (Unit Leaders) coming
from different schools in Ligao South 1 and 2.
After the registration of the participants, Scouter Eva D. Quintanobroke the silence
of the participants while waiting for the opening ceremony, she gave a warm-up activity
to the Kab/Boy Scouts in preparation for the Opening Program. They were asked to form
their lines by school and afterwards they were group by Colorsand the parents were
called to accompany their sons.
Scouter Jonal P. Clariño, the School Head of Tandarura Elementary School, gave his
Opening Remarks. Then, Scouter Rhodie H. Quirab, Public Schools District Supervisor of
South District 1, and Scouter Elsie Mallorca, Barangay Captain of Tandarura, Ligao City,
gave their messagesto the participants together with Scouter Mark Anthony Dela Torre,
Council Scout Executive/OIC.
Afterwards, with the help of Scouter Rogelio Rempis Jr., the Kawan Leaders was
requested to be on the stage and recited their pledge. Then, the parents were also
requested to place beside their sonsplacing theirleft hand on the shoulder of their children
and recited the Parents’ Pledge.
Lighting of candle was followed led by Scouter Rhodie H. Quirab, representatives
from different schools recited theirpledge after lighting the candles simultaneously and
accordingly. After all the candles had lightened, the Kab/Boy Scouts form themselves in
circular form. With Scouter Eva D. Quintanoat the center of the participants, she conducted
the last part of the investiture ceremony followed by the picture taking and the friendship
lunch.
The activity resumed with the Scouting Songs and Fun Gamesgiven by Scouter
Rogelio Rempis Jr. which gave the pupilstime to enjoy themselves with other paricipants
and with the activities given.
Meanwhile, the Kawan Leaders were called for the Orientation about the Forms to be
filled out.
Then base works were followed. Base works includes; Reciting and Explaining of
Kab Scout Promise, PanunumpasaWatawat and Kab Scout Motto/Slogan; Lecture on First
Aid Procedures; Showing the Kab Scout Sign, Salute and Handshake and Sinnging of
Philippine National Anthem; and Lecture on Saving Money, and Leading/Reciting/Writing
Daily Prayers.
